Construction of the New Grounds is Complete
Construction at Karinya Equestrian Park is now complete with just a few things to tidy up around the grounds. Below are some photos of the grounds and we look forward to starting the season. Some of the many amazing facilities we now have use of are;
- 3 dressage arenas, one of which is undercover with lights
- large show jumping ring under lights for night events
- 90 brand new horse yards
- huge revamped air conditioned club rooms with canteen facilities
- brand new storage sheds
- covered measuring bay and swab box

Progress Photos of our Grounds
Here is a sneak peek at the progress being made at our Grant Street, Orange Grove grounds. These photos are of the Indoor Arena being lifted up by four cranes. It was constructed onsite & when the cranes lifted it up the legs dropped down and fell in to place. There has been a lot of work transforming our grounds and we are very pleased with how everything is progressing. The storage sheds are built and ready for the Clubs to move into when the rest of the facility is complete. The lights for the front arena are up & you can see them in the background of these photos. Our clubhouse is still a work in progress and will be absolutely fantastic when it is finished. I know we all can’t wait to be back on our home grounds!

Work begins on New Equestrian Centre
After extensive consultation with community and riding groups the centre will include a 2,800sqm undercover arena, sand arena, main arena and an enclosed working hunter arena as well as 90 horse stalls, new storage and utility areas.
City of Gosnells Mayor Dave Griffiths said the project reinforces the City’s commitment to providing quality recreation and community facilities. “The new equestrian centre will be an outstanding facility for local equestrian clubs and I am sure members will be thrilled with the end result,” said Mayor Griffiths.
In addition to the three new arenas the centre will also incorporate an extended pavilion with specialised features enabling adults and children with disability to enjoy safe and therapeutic horse-related activities. The project is funded by the City of Gosnells and the Department of Sport and Recreation’s Community Sport and Recreation Facilities Fund. (Photograph & article from the City of Gosnells website)
